The scientific name of the African Mango seed extract is Irvingia gabonensis seed. This fruit is only found in the western part of Africa, specifically in the rainforest of Cameroon. The natives of Cameroon also refer the African Mango fruit extract or the Irvingia gabonensis as Ogbono. If you are curious about how Ogbono is consumed, then so are the other readers of this article. Hence, it is but right to talk about such process. Basically, after eating the fruit, the seed is dried in the sun in order to be preserved. Once the seeds are dry, they will be cracked open to remove the real ogbono. Once they are taken out, they will be ground to a paste which is also known as Gabon chocolate. The paste can be used in thickening the Ogbono soup because of its high content of mucilage. The nuts of the fruit are also conserved for vegetable oil.
Most natives in Cameroon just eat it like an ordinary kind of soup. They were not really aware of the medicinal uses of the fruit until several studies had been done like for example the research done in the medical university of Cameroon. After such time, the natives paid more importance to such fruit and they were able to realize how important it is in their bodies.
The extract from the African Mango helps in speeding up the metabolism which then aids in weight loss. One of the wonders of metabolism is the capacity to turn body fat into energy which obviously leads to losing weight. Also, one more important effect of the African Mango to one’s body is that it also suppresses the release of the hormone called, Leptin which is responsible for the feeling of hunger. Hence, if such hormone is being suppressed, we can automatically expect that the person taking it won’t crave for food every now and then or in other words his or her appetite will be decreased. Then again, the use of African Mango which is composed of irvingia gabonensis is really effective in losing weight since based on clinical and laboratory research, this extract from the seed act in ceasing the growth of fat cells in the body. There had been several studies that proved the effectiveness of this diet supplement in aiding weight loss within a short period of time and even without the incorporation of diet and exercise. But, of course if regular exercise and healthy diet are also observed, then there will be much more weight loss along the process of becoming physically fit.
Moving on, before you proceed on taking diet supplements with Irvingia gabonensis like the African Mango diet pills, it is so crucial that you determine whether it has some serious side effects or none. The good news is that, there are just few side effects of this diet pills and they are so much tolerable. Based on some reports, these include sleeping problems, flatulence and headaches.
However, if you are pregnant or if you are breastfeeding your infant, it will be safer if you skip on taking this pill since there are still no studies that will support its safe use during this specific period in one’s life.
